About this blog

I can’t write (part 2) – Finally I know what I wanna do with this blog

When I read my old blog that I’d created 9 years ago for my Erasmus exchange program, to my surprise, I enjoy it.

I also saw some old comments from a high school friend and from my dad, they are so nice, and it moved me.

I didn’t define any specific theme, nor objectives for my Erasmus blog : there were some posts about my student doom, our “international dinner” that we did with my classmates, some description about my exchange program, etc. then some reflections about the Dutch, my intercultural experience, etc.

Nothing very formal, nothing well-researched. Just some ideas that I had and put together.

I talked about my (true) life, people that I met, but nothing too personal.

The writing style is nothing fancy, literary, even pretty simple. But I feel right.

There are two other things that I realised :

  • First, I mostly talked about my intercultural experience
  • Second, I used English for my blog

So finally, I think that the topic that I care about most is the intercultural experience and people around me. Moreover, probably, I feel better writing in English. I can write short sentences or very common ideas without feeling silly : at least, it’s a language writing exercice.

So here I am, opening this blog again, and continuing my journey, in life but also in writing…
